The summer season is upon us here in Yellowstone Country and the Beartooth Wilderness. While there is still snow up high for those seeking one last late season ski, and many alpine lakes and north-facing drainages remain snowed over, lower elevations and south facing drainages are melted out and ready for hiking, camping and exploration, and exploding with green and wildflowers. Creeks and rivers are starting to recede, but many remain dangerous to cross.
We are currently understaffed and only open on weekends, but it looks as though we may have help on the way and will hopefully be open 7 days a week in the coming week or two. If you are passing through the Absaroka-Beartooth wilderness, stop by and see us for all your outdoor gear needs and expert local knowledge. Look forward to seeing you!!
